학교폭력 예방을 위한 방안으로서 학교차원의 긍정적 행동지원의 적용가능성 탐색

초록

이 연구는 학교폭력의 실태와 대처방안의 문제점을 알아본 후, 학교차원의 긍정적 행동지원이 학교폭력의 해결책임을 제안하면서 우리나라 교육현장의 적용방안에 관한 의견을 제시하였다. 이를 위하여 현재 전국단위로 이루어지고 있는 학교폭력 실태 조사 결과와 학교폭력의 대처방안을 모색한 논문들을 고찰하였다. 그 결과 학교폭력의 가해율과 피해율 그리고 심각성이 점차 증가하는 것으로 나타났고, 학교폭력과 관련된 논문들에서 제시한 대처방안은 문제가 발생한 사후 처리에 관한 내용이 대부분이었다. 그러나 학교폭력을 방지하기 위해서는 긍정적, 예방적 그리고 교육적인 접근으로 이루어져야하므로, 모든 학생을 위한 예방의 노력과 심각한 문제행동을 보이는 개별학생들을 위한 집중적인 행동지원을 통합하는 예방 모형인 학교차원의 긍정적 행동지원이 교육현장에 정착되어야 한다. 따라서 이 연구에서 모색한 적용방법으로는 이해당사자를 포함한 팀 구성원간의 협력을 통해 자료 수집 및 분석이 이루어져야 하고, 이미 실천 중인 학업적 중재 등과 융합하여 장기적으로 실행되어야 한다.

Abstract

This study set out to investigate the current state of school violence and the problems with the current measures to deal with it, propose that school-wide positive behavioral support should be a solution for school violence, and search for ways to apply such supports to the field of education across the nation. In spite of the increasing frequency and intensity of school violence, they mainly utilize post-event punishment plans such as the traditional discipline approach in schools. School discipline, however, should take a positive, preventive, and educational approach rather than searching for measures to deal with a violence event after it has taken place. It it thus required to establish school-wide positive behavioral support in the field of education as they are a preventive model to combine preventive efforts for all students with intensive behavioral supports for individual students showing seriously problematic behavior. School-wide positive behavioral support should thus collect and analyze data based on cooperation among the team members including the concerned parties and be implemented for a long term through combination with academic interventions already in practice.
