이 연구는 자기교시훈련이 중증 정신지체학생의 일상생활 문제해결 과제(책상 닦기, 블라인드 내리기, 전자레인지로 피자 데우기)에 미치는 효과를 알아보는데 목적을 두고 있다. 이 연구의 대상은 D시의 S특수학교 고등부인 중증 정신지체학생 4명이며, 실험은 S 특수학교 직업교과 교실에서 실시하되, 관찰학습에 의한 간접학습 배제를 위해 대상 학생 각각을 서로 다른 시간대에 배치하였다. 기초선과 중재, 유지기간을 포함한 전체 실험은 총 30회기에 걸쳐 이루어졌으며, 중재 1회기 당 약 30분간 실시하고, 변화율을 피험자간 중다기초선 설계를 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 자기교시훈련은 중증 정신지체학생의 3가지 일상생활 문제해결 과제의 수행능력의 향상에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 중재가 종료된 후에도 문제해결 과제 수행능력이 유지되는 것으로 나타났다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine if children with severe mental retardation could learn to use self instructional strategy training to produce a generalized response and to increase self-instructional levels. Specifically, four students with I.Q range from 46 to 60, attending special school, were taught to use the self-instruction strategy to solve three task related problems.Each session consisted of 30minutes, which was implemented in a special school part of the classes. The terms of sessions were variated to each subject range from 7 to 24, with finishing for each subject to success three times continuously. Experimental design employed multiple baseline design across subjects. Conclusions from results and discussions of this investigation are as follows.Self-instruction strategy with multiple exemplars had positive effects on improving task related problem solving abilities.
