최근에 의사소통 양식에 관한 관점 및 가치관의 변화와 더불어 비구어 의사소통양식의 유용성이 강조되어왔다. 의사소통 장애인들의 의사소통 증진을 위하여 국외에서 관심을 갖고 연구가 시작된 지는 약 30여 년이 되었으나 국내에서는 관심을 갖고 본격적인 연구가 시작된 지는 약 10년이 되었다. 현재, 각 나라마다 의사소통 장애인들을 위한 비구어 의사소통 중재방법이 다양하게 적용되고 있다. 국외의 연구 동향 및 임상실제를 감안할 때 우리나라 현실에서도 이제는 현장에서 비구어적 의사소통 체제를 적용해야 할 단계에 와 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 심한 의사소통 장애인들을 위한 비구어적 중재법을 적용하기 위한 기초를 마련하기 위하여 국내에서 연구된 실험연구를 집중 조사하여 전반적인 연구동향 분석, 현장에 적용할 임상 프로그램 개발의 기초 마련, 앞으로의 연구방향과 과제를 제시함으로써 보다 빠른 시일 내 현장에서 비구어 의사소통 접근을 적용하는데 기여하고자 하였다. 분석대상 문헌은 2003년까지 국내 학위논문과 국내 학술지에 발표된 실험논문들로서 이들의 문헌유형별 수록논문 수, 연구형태, 연구설계법, 피험자 특성(피험자 수, 성별, 소속, 장애영역), 의사소통 체제 및 도구에 관한 분석결과를 제시하고 논의하였다. 또한 앞으로의 연구방향과 임상적 과제를 제시하였다.
Abstract
In recent, with the changes of values and viewpoints about communication mode, the benefits of nonvocal communication intervention for children with severe communication disabilities have been interested. Outside Korea, nonvocal communication system for children with severe communication disabilities have been studied for 30 and more years. But in Korea, nonvocal communication system have been studied for about 10 years. In these days, nonvocal communication interventions for children with severe communication disabilities are being applied in each country abroad. When considering foreign study tendency and clinical practices, nonvocal communication intervention have to be also applied from now in Korea. Thus, the researcher of this study reviewed domestic experimental studies from 1986 to 2003 related to nonvocal communication system(augmentative and alternative communication), found out experimental study realities and foundation of clinical program, suggested and discussed about future research direction and clinical practices.
