현장중심 직업교육이 자폐성 장애학생들의 직업적 성공요소와 직무생산 능력에 미치는 효과

본 연구에서는 현장중심 직업교육이 자폐성 장애학생들의 취업에 중요한 영향을 미치는 직업적 성공요소들에 어떠한 효과가 있는지 알아보고자 하는데 있었다. 연구 대상은 서울 시내에 소재하고 있는 정서장애 Y특수학교의 자폐성 장애학생 11명을 대상으로 하였으며, 지역사회 5곳(도서관 1곳과 우체국 4곳)에서 2009년 3월 2일부터 2009년 12월 31일까 총 43주 동안 주당 5회, 1일 4시간의 현장중심 직업교육을 실시한 후 직업적 성공요소 4개 영역에 대하여 평가지를 통한 사전-사후 검사를 하였다. 연구 결과는 현장중심 직업교육이 직업적 성공요소 중 개인적 요소, 사회적 요소, 직업능력 요소, 장애인 고용인식 요소에 있어서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 나타냈다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 현장중심 직업교육은 일반화 및 전이 능력이 제한되어 있어 현장 적응력이나 응용능력이 떨어지는 자폐성 장애학생들의 직업교육 방법으로 매우 효과적임이 검증되었다.
Abstract
This study sets out to investigate the effects of field-oriented vocational education’s on the vocational success elements, which have important influences on the employment of students with autism. The participants include eleven(11) students with autism attending Y Special School for the students with an emotional disability in Seoul, and they received field-oriented vocational education’s at five(5) local organizations including one(1) library and four(4) post offices for four(4) hours a day, five(5) times a week through forty three(43) weeks in total during the period between March 2, 2009 and December 31, 2009. Then, they took a pre-post test in four(4) areas of vocational success elements with an evaluation paper, and were put to direct performance assessment in one(1) area. The research findings were as follows:First, field-oriented vocational education had significant effects on the personal, social, vocational ability, and perception of employment of the disabled element of the vocational success elements. Second, it also turned out to be effective on the acquirement and maintenance of job production ability including job productivity and wrong performance. The results indicate that field-oriented vocational education’s around school should be activated in the community to promote the participation among autistic students in the community through work after school education. Based on the results, it was discussed that more specific methods and procedures about field-oriented vocational education are needed and further researches through diverse participants and research design and procedures be employed in the near future.
