DI(직접교수) 한글읽기프로그램이 읽기학습부진 학생의 읽기능력에 미치는 효과

Abstract

This study will introduce The Han-Geul reading programs of Direct Instruction and research the effects of these programs on the reading ability of primary schools students with low achievement. For hypothesis testing, our research method is like below. The first, we have created The Han-Geul reading programs of Direct Instruction. The second, we selected 24 students who are first, second and third grade at primary schools in Seoul. These students is that general classroom teachers at primary schools in Seoul identified these students as a low achiever. The third, these students were separated into two groups. Group One is designated as an experimental group. This groups(14 students) were implemented the Han-Geul reading programs of Direct Instruction by researchers. Group Two is known as a Control group. This group(10 students) were implemented the traditional teacher-centered programs by general classroom teachers. The fourth, we have used BASA(Basic Academic Skills Assessment : Reading) to measure the students' reading ability which is a dependent variable. Finally, we have runed SPSS 12.0 version and statistical analysis method is independent-Sampled T test. Our data and statistics analysis results will show that the Han-Geul reading program of Direct Instruction has significantly positive results with students compared to teacher-centered programs. We hope that Direct Instruction method and our Han-Geul reading program of Direct Instruction can be studied, evaluated and shared broadly with educators throughout Korea.
