장애의심 유아의 진단과 의뢰 전 중재에 대한 사립 유치원 원장의 인식 분석

초록

본 연구는 사립 유치원(이하 유치원)에 재학 중인 유아들 가운데 장애로 의심되는 유아에대한 진단과 의뢰 전 중재의 실제적 모습을 질적 연구를 통해 심층적으로 분석함으로써 교육현장에서 발견되는 진단 및 의뢰 전 중재의 문제점과 문제를 해결하기 위한 교육현장의 요구사항이 무엇인지 알아보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 D광역시의 사립유치원 원장 8인을 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 장애의심 유아의 발견, 진단 의뢰의 어려움, 의뢰 전 중재의 지원과정과 방법, 지원에 대한 요구라는 4가지의 대주제를 도출하였으며이와 관련하여 13개의 하위 주제가 도출되었다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 유아기의 장애진단과 의뢰 전 중재의 가능성을 증진시키기 위해 필요한 제도에 대한 시사점을 논의하였다.

Abstract

The qualitative study was to explore 8 private kindergarten director's perception related to diagnosis and pre-referral intervention of young children with suspected disabilities in private kindergarten. The questionnaire through preliminary discussion which consisted of a semi-structured interviews. In this interview, four major themes and thirteen sub-themes were derived. The four major themes were as follows; discovery of young children with suspected disabilities, difficulties of diagnosis and referral, planning and actual pre-referral intervention, and requests for support. Based on the results of this study, implications for the diagnosis of childhood disability and the necessary system for enhancing the possibility of pre-referral intervention were discussed.
