본 연구는 개별차원의 긍정적 행동지원(PBS)이 정신지체 학생의 자리이탈 행동에 미치는 효과와 중재 종료 후에도 행동의 변화가 유지되는가를 알아보는데 있다. 연구 대상은 특수학교의 정신지체 학생으로 면담, 기록의 검토, 직접관찰 등의 기능적 행동평가를 하여 선행사건중재, 대체행동교수, 후속결과중재의 긍정적 행동지원을 실시하였다. 연구 방법은 특수학교 교실에서 국어시간, 직업시간, 미술시간의 상황간 중다 기초선 설계를 하였고, 목표행동발생 유무를 부분간격 기록법으로 측정하였다. 결과는 개별차원의 긍정적 행동지원이 각 상황에서 자리이탈 행동이 감소하였고, 중재가 종료된 후에도 유지되는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 통해 대상학생을 둘러싼 인적구성원들의 협력적 지원과 개별차원의 긍정적 행동지원이 특수학교에서의 문제행동 변화에 효율적인 접근방법임을 입증하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of individualized positive behavior support(PBS) on the problem behaviors of a student with mental retardation in special school. In this study, the functional behavior analysis(FBA) through the review of school records, the interview with people related with the student and direct observation using video recording led to the hypothesis of antecedent and triggering events of the target behavior (i.e., out-of-seat behavior) in student’s natural setting, which is a classroom. Multiple baseline design across settings were utilized as a single subject design. For data collection, partial-interval recording was used for measuring the target behavior. The results of this study were as follows; First PBS was effective to decrease the out of seat behavior across three settings. Second, the effects of PBS were maintained one weeks after intervention. In conclusion, this study indicated that individualized positive behavior support through the cooperation of the PBS team was effective to decrease the target student’s problem behaviors. Implications of suggestion and discussion to practice for future research were described.
