ADHD 아동을 위한 인지증진훈련, 사회기술훈련, 부모교육 병합 프로그램 개발 및 효과

Development and Effects of a Combined Program of Cognitive Enhancement - Social Skills - Parents Training Program for ADHD Children and Their Parents

초록

본 연구의 목적은 주의력결핍 및 과잉행동장애 아동에 대한 조기 개입 방안 마련을 위해 인지증진훈련과 사회기술훈련, 부모교육이 병합된 집단상담 프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과성을 검증하는 데 있다. 문헌연구와 현장전문가, 교사, 학부모 요구조사 결과를 바탕으로 20회기의 아동 프로그램과, 10회기의 부모교육 프로그램이 개발되었다. 경기, 전남, 강원, 경북의 7개 지역에서 개발된 프로그램을 실시하고, 통제집단을 구성한 후 사전, 사후 주의력장애진단시스템(ADS), 한국판 주의력결핍-과잉행동장애 평정척도(K-ARS), 사회기술평정척도(SSRS), 부모양육효능감, 부모 양육스트레스 검사 결과에 대한 T-test와 공변량분석을 실시하였다. 효과성 검증 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인지증진, 사회기술훈련, 부모교육 병합 프로그램은 아동의 시각충동성 및 청각부주의 감소와, 부모가 지각한 아동의 부주의 감소에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 인지증진, 사회기술훈련, 부모교육 병합 프로그램은 부모와 교사가 지각한 아동의 사회기술 증가에 있어 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 보고되었다. 셋째, 개발된 프로그램은 부모로서의 효능감 증진에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으나, 양육 스트레스 감소에는 유의미한 차이를 가져오지 않았다. 즉, 인지증진훈련, 사회기술훈련, 부모교육 병합 프로그램은 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애 아동의 증상 감소와 바람직한 사회기술향상에 유의미한 영향을 미치며, 부모의 양육효능감 증진에 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 시사점과 더불어 본 연구의 한계점을 논의하고 후속연구를 제안하였다.

Abstract

This study was intended to develop a counseling intervention program for ADHD children and their parents and to test the effectiveness of the program. Literature review, and needs assessment with field experts, teachers and parents and conducted, and the 20-session of cognitive enhancement - social skills training program for children and the 10-session of parent training program were constructed. The program was conducted at a counseling center in 7 different areas. 26 children and their parents were participated in this study. 13 of them participated in the program. The other 13 were alloted in the control group. In order to test the effectiveness of the program, participants rated on the ADS, K-ARS, SSRS, Parenting Efficacy Scale, and Parenting Stress scale before and after the program. Results are as follows; First, the cognitive enhancement - social skills training program affected positively in the reduction of participated children's visual impulsitivity, auditory inattention, and overall inattention which is rated by their parents. Second, the program influenced positively in the enhancement of social skills among participating children. Lastly, while parenting efficacy has been significantly increased among participating parents upon the completion of the program, there was no significant change in the level of parenting stress. Overall, the cognitive enhancement-social skill training program for ADHD children and parent training program for their parents positively affected in those children's symptom reduction and social skills, and also increased their parents' parenting efficacy. Limitations and suggestions for future studies are also discussed.
