발달장애아 어머니의 장애수용태도 유형별 가정환경, 양육스트레스 및 양육핵심역량 특성

초록

이 연구에서는 만 3세에서 만 12세이하 발달장애아 어머니 210명을 대상으로 장애수용태도 유형을 군집분석방법을 사용하여 분류․명명하고, 각 유형의 가정환경, 양육스트레스 수준 및 양육핵심역량 특성을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구결과 발달장애아 어머니의 장애수용태도 유형은 충격-수치군, 수용-과잉보호형군, 의심-반동형성군, 부인-의심군, 수용불가군, 전반적 수용군 등 6개 유형으로 분류되었다. 충격-수치군 및 부인-의심군의 경우 만 8세 이하의 자녀 비율이 높고, 수용-과잉보호군, 수용불가군 및 전반적 수용군의 경우 만 9세 이상의 자녀 비율이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 충격-수치군, 수용-과잉보호군, 수용불가군 및 전반적 수용군의 경우 자녀의 장애정도가 심한 편인 비율이 높고, 의심-반동형성군 및 부인-의심군의 경우 자녀의 장애정도가 중등도 이상인 비율이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 전반적 수용군 및 부인-의심군의 경우, 양육스트레스 수준이 비교적 낮고, 충격-수치군의 경우 양육스트레스 수준이 비교적 높은 집단인 것으로 나타났다. 전반적-수용군, 수용-과잉보호군 및 부인-의심군의 경우 양육 역량이 우수한 반면, 충격-수치군, 수용불가군 및 의심-반동형성군은 양육 역량이 부족한 것으로 나타났다.

Abstract

This study was to find home environment, parenting stress and parenting core competency of 210 mothers raising 3-12 years old children with developmental disabilities on types of the acceptance of disability, using cluster analysis. As a result of analysis, the types of the acceptance of disability were classified as follows: ‘shock-shame group’; ‘acceptance-overprotection group’; ‘doubt-reaction formation group’; ‘denial-doubt group’; ‘acceptance denial group’; ‘general acceptance group’. Shock-shame group and denial-doubt group included children under 8 years of age at a high rate, whereas acceptance-overprotection group, acceptance denial group and general acceptance group included children above 9 at a high rate. Shock-shame group, acceptance-overprotection group, acceptance denial group and general acceptance group included children with severe disabilities at a high rate, whereas doubt-reaction formation group and denial-doubt group included children with moderate or mild disabilities at a high rate. General acceptance group and denial-doubt group had a low level of parenting stress, whereas shock-shame group had a high level of that. General acceptance group, acceptance-overprotection group and denial-doubt group had a high level of parenting core competency, whereas shock-shame group, acceptance denial group and doubt-reaction formation group had a low level of that.
