Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of the Class-Wide Positive Behavior Support (CWPBS) on behaviors and the level of satisfaction with school life in the integrated class of an elementary school. The study was conducted among twenty one children(including twenty normal children and one student with a disability) of an integrated class, about problematic conditions in an integrated class(classroom; class time, corridor; transition time, school cafeteria; lunch time). As for the methodology of collection and analysis of data, the event recording method was used. The frequency of problem behaviors before(April), during(May, June), and after(July) the administering of the CWPBS were analyzed and compared. The data of problem behaviors of the student with disabilities were collected by the partial interval recording method(every 10 seconds during baseline, intervention Ⅰ, intervention Ⅱ, maintenance) and analyzed in terms of change of frequency of problem behaviors. To investigate the change of the level of satisfaction in school life of the students in response to the CWPBS, the test scores of the level of satisfaction in school life before and after the CWPBS were analyzed and compared. As a results of the study, it was found that the children's problem behavior of problematic conditions in the class reduced due to the CWPBS, and the level of satisfaction with school life on children of the class improved.
