본 연구는 아동의 ADHD 증상에 대한 부모와 교사 평정, 구조화된 면접 결과 간의 관계를 살펴보고, 각 평정도구로 실제 ADHD 아동을 얼마나 잘 선별할 수 있는지 확인하고자 하였다. 인천지역에 거주하는 초등학생, 총 26명을 대상으로, 부모 및 교사 K-ARS, K-CRS를 실시하였고, 부모에게는 구조화된 면접인 DISC를 실시하였다. 분석결과, ADHD 증상에 대한 부모와 교사의 평정 간 유의한 상관이 나타나지 않았으며, 각 평정도구에 따라서 아동 증상에 대한 부모의 보고는 다소 상이하게 나타났다. 반면, 교사는 보다 일관성 있게 아동의 증상을 평정하는 것으로 나타났고, DISC와도 높은 상관을 보였다. 또한 각 평정도구로 아동을 선별하여 실제 ADHD 아동과 얼마나 일치하는지 확인하였다. 그 결과, DISC가 ADHD 아동을 가장 잘 선별하는 것으로 나타났으며, 그 다음은 교사 평정, 부모 평정 순으로 나타났다. ADHD 증상에 대한 조기 선별과 개입은 매우 중요하다. 부모 및 교사가 아동의 문제를 일차적으로 확인하여 전문기관에 의뢰하는 주체라는 사실을 고려할 때, 아동 증상 평정에 대한 정확성을 높여 적절하게 초기 선별이 이루어질 수 있도록 하는 방안을 모색해야 한다. 특히 부모에게는 ADHD와 함께 감별해야 하는 증상들과 세세한 가이드라인을 제공하여 아동의 증상 평정에 대한 정확성을 높여야 한다.
Abstract
This study was conducted to examine the relationship between the parent’s and teacher’s ratings and the result of structural interview about the symptom of the children with ADHD(Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and to find out how well each rating tool screens ADHD children with the rating scale. This study was conducted with 26 children who live in Incheon. The parent-teacher’s K-ARS, K-DISC and the structural interview of the parents was examined. As a result, The rating of the parent and teacher about the symptom of the children with ADHD has no significant correlations and the agreement between the parent’s rating and DISC was low. On the other hand, the rating of the teacher was consistent and shows high corelation with DISC. Furthermore, the children who were selected by each rating scale were compared to ADHD children to check out the level of coincidence. As a consequence, the best instrument to screen ADHD children was DISC and the rating of the parents was the worst. Early screening and intervention to ADHD symptom are highly important. The method to raise accuracy of ADHD screening has to be sought in consideration of the fact that the parents and teachers are the first agent to refer to the symptom of ADHD to medical center. Especially, to raise the accuracy of the ADHD symptom rating, the detailed guidelines with ADHD symptom should be offered to the parents.
