한국 생명 보험 산업은 다양한 시장 환경의 변화에 따른 시장리스크에 노출되어져 있다. 본 연구는 VaR 기법을 이용한 VaR 모형과 다중회귀분석모형을 토대로 생명 보험 산업을 지배구조에 따른 분류, 생존형태에 따른 분류 및 시장점유에 따른 분류로 세분화하여 분석하였다. 또한 다중회귀분석모형에서는 종속변수를 VaR 측정치 및 시장리스크 비율로 정의된 값을 기준으로 비교 분석하였다. 분석결과 VaR 분석모형에서 시장리스크가 지배구조의 경우 외국사가, 생존형태의 경우 생존사가, 시장점유의 경우 상위 3사가 낮게 나타났다. 다중회귀분석모형에서는 세부적 분류에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 양의 관계의 시장변수 및 음의 관계의 외부충격요인 변수들을 찾아내고 비교하였다.
Abstract
Based on the VaR model and the multiple regression model by using the VaR technique, this paper analyzed the market risk in the Korean life insurance industry, which was classified respectively by the governance structure, the survival status, and the market share. The dependent variables in the multiple regression model were chosen with both VaR values and market risk ratios. At first, the empirical results in the VaR model show that foreign companies in case of the governance structure, survived companies in case of the survival status, and top three companies in case of the market share had the lowest market risks respectively. Also from multiple regression model, this paper found and compared several market factors with a positive effect and external shocks with a negative effect which were statistically significant.
