암환자 누나를 둔 아동의 미술치료 경험에 관한 내러티브 탐구

본 연구는 암환자 누나의 투병과정을 지켜보다 사별을 경험한 아동의 미술치료과정에서의 경험과 그 경험의 의미는 무엇인지를 내러티브로 탐구하였다. 본 연구는 2016년 10월 11일부터 2017년 11월 21일 까지 36회기 이루어졌다. 내담 아동은 불안감이 강했으며 지적장애 3급이었다. Text의 구성은 미술치료 활동에 대한 미술작품, 놀이의 과정, 미술치료와 부모님 상담, 면담에서의 대화자료 등에 대한 구성으로 연구자의 지각된 감정을 기록하여 연구참여자의 삶이 생생하게 드러날 수 있도록 탐구를 진행하였다. 그 결과 암환자 누나를 둔 아동의 미술치료 경험은 자신의 외상과 감정을 상징으로 표현, 점차 안정된 모습과 미술표현에서 안전감이 나타남, 치료사에게 거부와 매달리기를 표현하며 불안정한 애착 관계를 재현, 수용을 통하여 또 다른 관계를 맺음을 주제로 경험을 이야기하였으며 그 경험의 의미는 미술치료 과정에서 외상을 표현하면서 치료사- 내담자 관계에서 담아내기를 통해 치유해 나갔다는 주제로 탐구결과가 도출되었다.
Abstract
This study made narrative explorations into the meanings of the art therapy experience processes of a young male child who was bereaved after watching the disease progression of his older sister who was a cancer patient. This study conducted total 36 sessions from October, 2016 through November, 2017. The counseled child had extreme anxiety and class III intellectual disabilities. Observations of art therapy processes show that he expressed his own trauma and emotions through symbolism and displayed gradual stability and that safty also appeared in his art expressions. Also, he displayed repetitions of rejection and hanging, reproduced unstable attachment relationships, and experienced other relationships through acceptance in his therapy process. Through this study, the child express of the trauma during art therapy processes and it has significance in that it treated trauma through expression in the therapist-counselee relationship.
