Abstract
In this study, a latent profile was created according to the level of reality adjustment disorder among university students, and then the characteristics of gambling addiction were classified according to the latent profile and the influence of unconditional self-acceptance was verified. For this purpose, 618 university students living in Daegu and Gyeongbuk were randomly sampled and selected. Questionnaires on reality adjustment disorder, gambling addiction, and unconditional self-acceptance were administered to these people. The specific research results analyzed using the Mplus 8.7 program are as follows. First, the number of potential profiles according to reality adjustment disorder was found to be three. They were named the high-level reality adjustment disorder group, the intermediate-level reality adjustment disorder group, and the low-level reality adjustment disorder group. Second, as a result of analyzing the characteristics of the gambling addiction group according to reality adjustment disorder, the number of potential profiles was classified into three. They were named the high reality/pathological gambling group, the medium reality/low risk gambling group, and the low reality/non-problem gambling group. Third, unconditional self-acceptance was found to predict changes in the reality adjustment disorder and gambling addiction groups. Among the sub-factors of unconditional self-acceptance, the self-acceptance factor from feedback was found to be the most predictive of changes in individual characteristics in the high reality/pathological gambling group. In other words, as self-acceptance from feedback increases, the probability of belonging from the high reality/pathological gambling group to the medium reality/low risk and low reality/non- problem gambling groups increases the most.
