발달장애유아 어머니의 양육스트레스, 양육효능감과 양육소진의 관계: 사회지지의 조절된 매개효과

초록

이 연구의 목적은 발달장애유아 어머니의 양육스트레스와 양육소진 간의 관계에서 사회지지가 매개변인인 양육효능감의 저하를 완충하여 조절된 매개효과를 가지는지 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해, 발달장애유아 어머니 198명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0과 PROCESS Macro 3.5 프로그램을 활용하여 분석하였으며, 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어머니의 양육스트레스는 양육소진과 정적 상관을 보였고, 양육효능감과 사회지지와는 부적 상관을 보였다. 양육효능감은 사회지지와 정적 관계를, 양육소진과는 부적 관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났으며, 사회지지는 양육소진과 부적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 양육스트레스는 양육소진에 유의한 직접적 영향을 미치며, 동시에 양육효능감을 경유하여 양육소진에 유의한 간접적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나, 양육효능감이 양육스트레스와 양육소진 간의 관계를 유의하게 매개하는 것으로 검증되었다. 마지막으로, 사회지지의 조절된 매개효과를 검증한 결과, 양육스트레스가 양육효능감을 통해 양육소진에 영향을 미치는 매개효과가 사회지지의 수준에 따라 완충되는 조절된 매개효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났으며, 사회지지의 3가지 수준에서 그 효과가 모두 유의한 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구결과를 근거로 발달장애유아 어머니의 양육소진을 방지하기 위한 방안으로 양육스트레스와 양육효능감, 사회지지의 적용에 관한 논의와 향후 연구에 관한 함의를 제안하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the association of parenting stress, parenting efficacy, and parental burnout among the mothers of children with developmental disability and to investigate the moderated mediating effect of social support. For the purpose, a survey was conducted for collecting data from 198 mothers of children with developmental disability and the data were analyzed by utilizing the SPSS 22.0 and PROCESS　Macro　3.5. The results of the study as the following. First, parenting stress was positively related to parental burnout, while it was negatively related to parenting efficacy and social support. In addition, parenting efficacy was positively related to social support, while parental burnout was negatively related to parenting efficacy and social support. Second, mothers’ parenting stress had a direct impact on parental burnout and it also had an indirect impact on parental burnout through parenting efficacy, which showed that parenting efficacy had the mediating effect on the relationship between parenting stress and parental burnout. Third, the results showed that social support had the moderated mediating effect on the impact of the parenting stress on the parental burnout through parenting efficacy. Finally, the conditional indirect effect was statistically significant in all three levels (low, average, high) in social support. Based on these findings, discussions and implications for preventing the parental burnout among mothers of children with developmental disability regarding parenting stress, parenting efficacy, and social support, and possible recommendations for further study were provided.
