요한복음 프롤로그의 한글 번역의 제안: 1장 3-4절과 9절을 중심으로

초록

요한복음 프롤로그에 대한 연구는 두 가지 방향으로 이루어져 왔는데, 하나는신학적 주제에 연구이고, 다른 하나는 문학 기법(구조)에 대한 연구이다. 이들연구에 있어서 중요한 요소 중 하나는 프롤로그 본문의 확정과 그에 대한 번역이다. 본문의 올바른 번역은 다양한 연구들에 있어서 중요한 열쇠를 제공한다. 특히 프롤로그의 본문 가운데, 본문 비평의 문제와 관련하여 중요한 이문을 제시하는 것은 3-4절, 14절, 그리고 18절이다. 그 중 3-4절의 이중 구두점의문제는 본문의 다양한 문학 기법들과 문체에 있어서 중요한 요소일 뿐 아니라, 신학적 측면에 있어서도 중요한 역할을 한다. 또한 1장 9절은 본문 비평에있어서 이문이 등장하지는 않지만, 헬라어 구문과 관련하여 해석의 중요한열쇠가 나타난다. 즉 분사의 다용한 용법 중 본문에 나타난 분사의 용법에 대한 이해는 본문의 올바른 번역을 위한 중요한 역할을 한다. 즉, 프롤로그에대한 다양한 연구를 위해 본문의 번역과 해석은 기초적 작업이며, 이를 위한본문 비평과 구문론에 대한 이해는 중요하다. 그러므로 본고는 1장 3-4절의본문 비평과 9절의 구문론에 대한 다양한 읽기 방법을 통해 한글 성경(개역개정 4판)의 번역의 문제를 지적하고, 건전한 번역을 제시하고자 한다.

Abstract

The Prologue of the Gospel of John has been studied into two ways:study on the theological theme and study on the literary figure including structure. On both studies, one of the important step is to translate the text of the Prologue. The sound translation is the key to study the various themes. In particular, there are three verses which have more debatable variants than others. For example, the variant of punctuation of verse 3, the variants of the number of the relative pronoun and of the verb in verse 13, and the variants with regard to monorenh.j qeo,j in verse 18 are discussed. Most of all, understanding the variant of punctuation of verse 3 functions on important step to interpret the Prologue both in literary figures and in the theological aspects. Furthermore, in verse 9,understanding the Greek syntax is a important key to translate it,although there is no the textual critical issues. To clarify the usage of the participle in verse 9 is the fundamental work on the sound translation of the text, viz., to translate and interpret the text is the basic step on the various studies on the Prologue. Therefore, the pare points out the problems of the translation on the Prologue in Korean version and suggest on the sound translation on it by understanding the various readings on the textual critical issues and on the Greek syntax.
