본 연구는 2000년부터 최근 20년간 국내 장애학생 상담 관련 연구의 경향을 파악하고자 하였다. 이에 장애학생의 교육적 상담 지원에 초점을 두어, 치료 중심 연구와 구분되는 특수교육 상담 영역에서의 연구 주제, 연구방법, 상담 영역, 대상의 변화 경향을 종합적으로 파악하였다. 분석 결과, 고등학생 대상에 집중되었으며, 장애유형에 있어 지적장애 학생이 많은 것으로 나타났다. 양적 연구 방법을 활용한 연구가 많았으며, 질적 연구를 활용한 연구는 드물었다. 상담의 경우 전문상담사에 의한 집단상담의 연구들이 많았다. 상담 프로그램을 살펴보면 진로상담 프로그램과 해결중심 상담 프로그램에 대한 연구가 주로 이루어졌다. 이러한 분석 결과를 토대로 장애대학생 지원 정책 및 실천방안 수립을 위한 논의를 하였다.
Abstract
This study aimed to analyze research trends in counseling support for students with disabilities in Korea over the past 20 years, from 2000 to the present. Focusing on educational counseling support for students with disabilities, this study comprehensively examined trends in research topics, research methods, counseling domains, and target populations within the field of special education counseling, distinguishing it from treatment-oriented research. The analysis revealed that research was predominantly concentrated on high school students, with intellectual disabilities being the most frequently studied disability type. Quantitative research methods were predominantly employed, while qualitative research approaches were relatively scarce. Regarding counseling provision, group counseling conducted by professional counselors was the most commonly investigated approach. In terms of counseling programs, career counseling programs and solution-focused counseling programs were the primary focus of research. Based on these findings, implications for policy development and practical strategies for supporting college students with disabilities were discussed.
