이 연구의 목적은 예레미야서에 나오는 포로생활 70년(25:11-12; 29:10)의 의 미를 밝히는데 있다. 연구 방법론으로는 예레미야서의 70년을 직접 인용하 고 있는 스가랴서(1:12; 7:5), 다니엘서(9:2), 역대기하(36:21)와 간접 인용하고 있는 에스라서와 학개서의 해석을 비교하는 성경 내적 해석 방법을 사용하 였다. 연구 결과 예레미야서의 표면적인 의미로는 제1차 포로기인 주전 605 년부터 고레스의 칙령이 내린 주전 538년이 설득력이 있으나 어떤 청중은 제2차 포로기인 주전 597년에 포로로 잡혀왔기 때문에 이 기간을 어림수로 보기에는 어려움이 있다. 이에 대한 해결책은 스가랴서를 필두로 다른 성경 들이 예레미야서의 포로 70년을 성전이 파괴됨으로 하나님께서 떠나버린 주 전 586년으로부터 시작하여 성전이 재건됨으로 하나님의 임재가 회복된 주 전516년까지로보는견해이다. 이는본연구에서성경내적해석을통해밝 힌 의미이다. 이런 이해는 70년이란 기간과도 일치하게 되는 이점이 있다.
Abstract
The goal of this study is to explore the meaning of the 70-year exile in Jeremiah (25:11-12; 29:10). An inner-biblical exegesis is used as the main tool of this study: the meaning of 70 years is derived from comparing texts which directly quote the 70 years of Jeremiah (Zech 1:12; 7:5; Dan 9:2; 2 Chron 36:21) and which indirectly cite Jeremiah’s message (Ezra, Haggai). The text in Jeremiah 25:11-12 seems to indicate the exile period is from 605 BC (when the first captives were moved to Babylon) to 538 BC (when Cyrus issued his edict), but the text in Jeremiah 29:10 has diffi- culty in regarding the period as a round number because the recipients of the prophet’s message were brought to Babylon in 597 BC (when the sec- ond captives were moved to Babylon). Inner-biblical exegesis of the Book of Zechariah (and other texts) clarifies that the period of exile began in 586 BC (when God left the people of God by destroying the temple) and ended in 516 BC (when God came back to the temple at the time the second temple were rebuilt). This interpretation matches the 70-year period of exile.
