한국 여성 스포츠지도자의 현황과 페미니즘적 문제극복

여성스포츠가 양적으로 크게 확장되고 있음에도 불구하고 아직도 지도자의 역할의 측면에서 여성은 소외되고 있다. 꾸준히 여성이 감독을 맡았던 종목은 여자 체조, 탁구, 수영, 역도의 영역에 불과하며, 여성 지도자가 지속적으로 담당한 종목은 소프트볼 종목이었다. 더군다나 2008년 베이징 올림픽 선수단을 구성하면서 새로 구성된 감독 및 코치의 비중에 있어 여성 지도자의 비율은 더더욱 떨어졌다. 한국이 출전한 25개 종목에서 여성 지도자 중 감독은 전무하고, 승마, 리듬체조, 탁구, 역도 종목에 코치만이 있었을 뿐이다. 또한 현장 결정권을 가진 감독의 역할은 여성이 아닌 남성 감독에게 주어졌다. 이는 분명 지도자에 대한 동등한 기회를 제공하여 자유로운 경쟁을 유도하여야 하는 스포츠의 기본정신에도 불구하고 독점적 지배권이 남용되었다고 밖에 볼 수 없는 것이다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 다음과 같은 제안을 하고자 한다. 첫째, 스포츠 구조의 새로운 변혁이 이뤄져야 할 것이다. 둘째, 감독을 선임할 때 선수들의 의견을 묻는 절차를 마련하여야 한다. 셋째, 종목별 특성을 고려한 지도자 배치가 현실화 되야 한다. 넷째, 적절한 지도자가 없을 때는 공개채용의 방식도 고려되야 한다. 다섯째, 성불평등 문제에 대한 인식을 모든 스포츠 구성원들이 공유하여야 하며, 스포츠에 참가하지 않는 일반인들에게도 이러한 인식을 심어줄 수 있는 교육의 장이 마련되어야 한다. 여섯째, 우수한 지도자가 되기 위해서는 상당한 전문적 특성을 갖추고 있어야 한다.
Abstract
Although female sports are greatly increasing in a quantitative way, women are excluded in terms of leaders' roles. Causes of female exclusion can be explained as follows: First, as social and psychological causes, men's priority is naturally accepted in physical, economical, and cultural respects under awareness of traditional patriarchy. Second, as social and biological causes, women themselves cannot go to leader's position in the reality where social and biological situations, such as pregnancy and child-rearing, restrict social activities. Third, as cultural causes, women are restricted in social communication in many ways under the background of traditional Confucian culture. Fourth, as political causes, women are significantly restricted in political activities while various political abilities are demanded in the position to lead the world of sports. To solve these problems, the following suggestions can be made: First, it is necessary to make systematic composition of women's shares in the human resources structure in the world of sports. Second, it is necessary to establish a procedure to get players' opinions in selecting a manager. Third, it is necessary to position a leader in consideration of event properties. Fourth, all sports members should share awareness of the problem of sexual inequality; it is necessary to establish the educational field to help general people who don't participate in sports to get this awareness. Fifth, it is necessary to provide a training opportunity for women to form various organizations and improve various abilities by themselves in order to cultivate good leaders.
