반-도핑 담론 소통과 스포츠 의미론의 변화: 니클라스 루만의 사회적 체계이론을 중심으로

본 연구는 형이상학적 존재론에 따라 주도적으로 논의 되었던 반-도핑 담론과 소통들이 어떻게 스포츠의 의미론을 변화시켰는지 니클라스 루만의 사회적 체계이론을 활용하여 시간적 차원, 사태(사안)적 차원, 사회적 차원에서 논의하는데 그 목적이 있다. 논의 결과, 첫째, 시간적 측면에서 도핑은 도시화 과정에서 ‘잃어버린 인간의 자연성’을 회복하기 위해 형성되었던 기존의 탈-불변적인 ‘고전적 스포츠 의미론’을 해체하였다. 둘째, 사태(사안)적 측면에서 도핑은 스포츠와 구조적으로 접속하는 여러 기능체계들에게 ‘교란된 의미 매체’를 제공함으로써 스포츠 기록에 대한 불신과 불공정의 의미론을 형성했다. 셋째, 사회적 측면에서 도핑은 스포츠를 수행하는 주체들에게 ‘기록추구’ 뿐만 아니라 보다 엄격한 ‘도덕성과 윤리성’을 추구하는 형식으로 스포츠 의미론은 변화 되었다. 따라서 도핑을 관찰하는 체계들의 작동과 소통들이 이어 지면 질수록 시간적 측면, 사태(사안)적, 사회적 측면에서 스포츠 의미론은 다양하게 변화된다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
Abstract
This study aims to discuss the anti-doping discourse and communication, which was previously discussed according to metaphysical ontology, which changed the semantics of sports at the temporal, incidental, and social levels using Niklas Luhmann social system theory. At first, in terms of time, doping dismantled the existing de-invariant ‘classical sports semantics,’ which had been formed to restore the ‘lost human nature’ in the course of urbanization. Secondly, in terms of events, doping has formed the semantics of distrust and unfairness of sports records by providing a ‘confused semantic medium’ for various functional systems which have structural connections to sports. Thirdly, on the social side, doping has changed the semantics of sports to a more rigorous form of “morality and ethics” as well as “recording records” for athletes performing sports. In conclusion, as the operation and communication of systems that observe doping continues, sports semantics changed in terms of time, situation, and society.
