골프지도자의 직무체험과 인식에 관한 분석

골프지도자의 진술 자료를 통해, 직업상 겪게 되는 경험과 이에 따른 의식의 변화를 알아보고 이로 인해 형성되는 직업의식에 대해 해석학적 이론화 작업의 근거를 마련하는 데 목적이 있었다. 본 연구에서는 골프지도자의 직무상 정서체험을 알아보고자 질적 자료수집 방법을 실시하였다. 총 6명의 골프지도자를 대상으로 심층면접과 e-mail질의 응답을 실시하여 자료를 수집하였으며 이는 전사와 범주화를 거쳐 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하게 되었다. 연구 참여자들이 겪는 긍정적 정서변화는 골프라는 스포츠의 특성상 개인종목임에도 많은 사람들과 여러 가지 기회를 거쳐 관계를 맺을 수 있다는 사회성 있는 종목이라는 점에서 매력을 찾는 것으로 들어났다. 한편 근무시간과 급여와 같은 기본적인 근무 환경에 관련된 부분에서는 참여자 모두가 공히 불만과 갈등을 경험하는 것으로 나타났다. 급여문제는 골프지도자의 품위와 가치를 유지할 수 있는 중요한 영역으로 여기고 있으며, 보통 몇 배의 투자를 통해 취득한 현재의 자격과 업무적 위치가 너무 적은 소득으로 인해 오히려 위태로운 자리가 될 수 있다는 점은 참여자 모두가 동의하는 점이었다.
Abstract
The primary purpose of this study was to identify the emotional experience that the golf instructors encounter and the change in perspective toward their professions. Among many research methods, a qualitative approach was selected for the study. To do this, six golf instructors were chosen randomly through a reputational case selection process. Then, the data were collected through in-depth personal interviews and internet surveys. As a result, the study illustrated a significant fact about the sociability trait that golf comprises. Participants, golf instructors, fully understood the golf as a purely individual sport, but they were thrilled with its sociability factor that allows building special relationships among people who play the game. This unique trait of the game gives them a positive view of their occupations. On the other hand, golf instructors experienced dissatisfaction and frustration with their working environments involving wages and working hours. Wages are a critical factor to them as they would like to be paid on par (no pun intended) with the value and the dignity of their professional positions. There was a clear consensus among the instructors that they felt somewhat insecure with their occupations due to a relatively low income compared to the amounts of time, effort, and money they invested to acquire this profession.
