엘리트 운동선수 인권침해의 유형과 대응 지침 연구

Abstract

This study collected cases of human rights violations and response experiences of elite athletes. These cases were recognized by sports support personnel in the field of sports. Moreover, they were classified by the severity of human rights violations and explored how to respond in each case. Accordingly, minor issues of human rights violations were found of five different types: verbal violence of seniors, discrimination according to athletic skills, errands of seniors, coercive hierarchy of seniors, and religious coercion of leaders. There were eight major issues related to bullying within the group: leader's demands for money, sexual violence between colleagues, verbal violence, leader's physical violence, leader's demeanor, leader's sexual violence, and others, such as old leadership or athletes' transfer-related tyranny. The sports support personnel were found to be unable to actively cope with these issues, except for the type of discrimination according to athletic ability and the type of personality disparagement of leaders. However, most types of human rights violations were found to be passive or unable to cope with. Therefore, as a member of the sports community, the author of this study tried to find ways to actively cope with the human rights violations of athletes in the field of sports by discussing the human rights education and institutional problems of sports support personnel.
