포스트휴먼 시대 스포츠의 가치와 지속가능성: 쇼펜하우어의 과학과 형이상학적 관점에서

본 연구는 쇼펜하우어의 과학과 형이상학적 관점에서 포스트휴먼 시대의 스포츠를 규명하고 스포츠의 지평을 바탕으로 스포츠의 가치와 지속가능성에 관한 토대연구를 시도하였다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 쇼펜하우어의 과학과 형이상학에 관한 저서와 문헌을 고찰하였으며 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 쇼펜하우어의 형이상의 관점에서 의지는 표상의 본질이며, 표상은 의지인식을 위해 존재하는 것이므로 세계는 어떠한 형태일지라도 의지이자 동시에 표상으로 볼 수 있다. 둘째, 포스트휴먼시대의 신체는 다양한 매체와의 상호 관계를 통해 새롭게 구성되는 것이므로 스포츠의 의지와 표상은 기술발달의 흐름에 따라 신체라는 물질적 형태가 없을지라도 더 확장되고 견고해질 수 있을 것이다. 셋째, 스포츠는 미래사회가 점차 최첨단 과학과 인간이 공존하는 삶을 지향하는 세계를 이해할 수 있게 되는 흐름에 따라 더 이상 인간의 실존적 움직임을 통해 스포츠를 정의하지 않으므로 과학기술의 융합을 통해 지속가능할 것이다. 이에 따라 포스트휴먼 시대 스포츠에서 신체가 새롭게 물질화되는 상호 관계성을 고찰하는 것은 스포츠 철학의 새로운 지표를 제안할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
This study identifies sports in the post-human era from Schopenhauer’s scientific and metaphysical point of view, and it attemptes basic research on the value and sustainability of sports based on the horizon of sports. Therefore, in order to achieve the purpose of this study, Schopenhauer’s books and literature on science and metaphysics were reviewed, and the results are as follows: First, from the perspective of Schopenhauer’s metaphysics, will is the essence of representation, and representation exists for will cognition; so, the world in any form can be seen as both will and representation at the same time. Second, since the body in the post-human era is newly constructed through mutual relationships with various forms of media, the will and representation of sports is going to be expanded and strengthened even without the material form of the body according to the flow of technological development. Third, sports will be sustainable through the convergence of science and technology as future societies will no longer define sports through human existential movements as future societies gradually understand the world that aims for a life in which cutting-edge science and humans coexist. Accordingly, examining the mutual relationship in which the body is newly materialized in sports in the post-human era can suggest a new index of sports philosophy.
