초록

최근 조용한 사직(Quiet Quitting)과 조용한 해고(Quiet Firing)에 이어 등장한 조용한 휴가(Quiet Vacationing)가 사회적인 이슈와 관심사가 되고 있다. 이것은 실제로 공식적으로 휴가를 내거나 가지 않으면서도 근무 중에 마치 휴가를 보내는 것과 같이 느슨한 마음가짐과 태도로 시간을 보내는 것을 의미한다. 조용한 휴가의 맥락에서 구성원들이 공식적인 휴가를 내지 못하는 이유와 맥락을 살펴보는 동시에, 이것을 윤리적 측면에서 직업인으로서의 책임감과 도덕성 차원에서 바라볼 필요가 있을 것이다. 본 연구에서는 2024년 7월 중에 조용한 휴가와 관련하여 온라인에서 확인 가능한 국내·외 기사와 자료 등을 전체적으로 조사하여 연구의 목적에 부합하는 내용을 수렴, 정리하는 과정을 거쳤다. 이러한 측면에서 본 연구는 조용한 휴가 관련 선행 연구, 개념 및 원인, 현황과 대책, 결론 및 논의를 제시하였다. 본 연구를 토대로 구성원들이 조직 내에서 맡겨진 책임과 역할을 다하는 것과 조직이 구성원들을 지원하고 지지하는 방안이 조화를 이룸으로써 조직과 개인 모두가 함께 성장하고 발전해 나가는 효과적인 전략을 모색할 수 있을 것이다.

Abstract

Quiet Vacationing, which emerged following Quiet Quitting and Quiet Firing, has become a social issue and concern. This means spending time with a relaxed attitude and mindset as if taking a vacation while working, without actually taking an official vacation or going on vacation. In the context of quiet vacations, we need to look at the reasons and contexts why members cannot take official vacations, and at the same time, we need to look at this from an ethical perspective, in terms of professional responsibility and morality. In this study, I comprehensively investigated domestic and foreign articles and materials available online related to quiet vacationing in July 2024, and went through the process of collecting and organizing content that fit the purpose of the study. In this regard, this study presented previous research, concepts and causes, current status and counterplan, conclusions, and discussions on quiet vacationing. Based on this study, it will be possible to seek effective strategies in which both the organization and individuals grow and develop together by harmonizing the way in which members fulfill their assigned responsibilities and roles within the organization and the way the organization supports its members.
