국내 환대교육 연구동향 분석: 2010년~2024년 학술논문을 중심으로

이 연구의 목적은 국내 환대교육 분야의 연구 동향을 분석하고, 최근 환대 관련 연구의 추이를 파악하고, 향후 환대교육의 시사점을 제언하고자 한다. 연구 동향분석을 위해 사용된 연구 자료는 학술연구정보서비스(RISS)에서 ‘환대교육’ 관련 키워드를 검색하여 수집하였다. 검색된 220편의 논문을 검토하여 총 115편의 학술논문을 분석대상으로 선정하였다. 연구를 위한 준거 틀은 연구시기, 연구대상, 연구방법, 연구목적별로 분류하여 분석하였다. 이러한 연구결과 첫째, 환대교육의 시기별 양적 변화 동향은 2010년부터 본격적으로 시작되어 2024년까지 꾸준히 증가 추세를 보였다. 둘째, 연구대상의 동향은 주로 교수자(30.5%)나 학습자(18.2%)보다는 환대교육 관련 연구물 및 문서(47.8%)가 가장 활발하였다. 셋째, 연구방법별 동향에서는 문헌연구 45.2%, 혼합연구 36.5%, 질적 연구 13.1%의 순으로 나타났고, 양적 연구(5.2%)가 가장 빈약하였다. 넷째, 연구목적별 동향에서는 환대에 대한 개념 및 이론적 고찰 연구가 34편(29.6%)으로 가장 활발하게 수행되었고, 인식 및 역량에 관한 연구, 교육 현황에 관한 연구 순으로 수행되고 있었다. 이 연구가 시사하는 점은 환대교육의 정책 및 제도에 관한 연구가 미흡한 상태로 나타났다. 따라서 첫째. 환대교육 연구자들에 관한 관심의 증대와 연구자에 대한 지속적인 연구지원이 필요한 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 연구방법 및 연구목적이 한쪽으로 치우치지 않는 경향성을 유지하기 위하여 양적 연구와 정책 및 제도에 관한 연구 및 환대교육의 설계 및 개발적용에 관한 연구가 계속 진행되어야 할 것이다. 셋째, 환대교육의 평생 교육학, 교육정책 및 제도적 측면에서 시사점을 도출할 수 있는 수준까지 진행되어야 할 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze research trends in the domestic hospitality education field, identify recent trends in hospitality-related research, and suggest implications for future hospitality education. The research data used to analyze research trends was collected by searching keywords related to ‘hospitality education’ in Academic Research Information Service (RISS). After reviewing the 220 retrieved papers, a total of 115 academic papers were selected for analysis. The frame of reference for the study was classified and analyzed by research period, research subject, research method, and research purpose. As a result of this study, first, the quantitative change trend in hospitality education by period began in earnest in 2010 and showed a steady increase until 2024. Second, the trend of research subjects was mainly in hospitality education-related research and documents (47.8%) rather than instructors (30.5%) or learners (18.2%). Third, trends by research method showed that literature research was 45.2%, mix research 36.5%, and qualitative research 13.1%, with quantitative research (5.2%) being the poorest. Fourth, in terms of trends by research purpose, research on the concept and theoretical consideration of hospitality was most actively conducted with 34 papers (29.6%), followed by research on recognition and competency, and research on the current status of education. The implication of this study is that research on hospitality education policies and systems is insufficient. So first. It was analyzed that increased interest in hospitality education researchers and continuous research support for researchers were necessary. Second, in order to maintain the tendency for research methods and research purposes to be unbiased, quantitative research, research on policies and systems, and research on the design, development and application of hospitality education should continue to be conducted. Third, it must be progressed to a level where implications can be drawn from the lifelong pedagogy, educational policy, and institutional aspects of hospitality education.
