Abstract
It begins by introducing the theory of intertextuality and how it can be applied to biblical interpretation. Next, the central theme of the parable of the Good Samaritan is presented as Jesus Christ, and its connection to Ezekiel 34 is analyzed using Luke’s literary techniques. In particular, the words “katadeo” (καταδέω) and “trauma” (τραῦμα) used in the Parable of the Good Samaritan function as intertextual links between the Old and New Testaments. They illuminate how the wounds caused by human sin are connected to the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Alongside this, Marc Chagall’s painting I and the Village and Kim Chun-soo’s poem Snow Falling on Chagall’s Village are presented as intertextual examples, demonstrating the concrete interaction between the two texts.
