Abstract
Urban renewal projects are characterized by public investment and they usually focus on enhancing its residential environments including regional economy. Increase of real estate prices can be a useful index to measure success of urban renewal projects. The objective of this study is to measure quantitative results of urban renewal projects in terms of housing prices. It is assumed that urban renewal projects have positve effects on housing prices of case study area. The result of empirical research coincide with prior assumption bewtween urban renewal projects and housing prices so they brought out about 4% price increase of target area. When we interpret housing increase of urban renewal projects, the increase of speculative demand can be a source of that, so we need to consider this in evaluating urban renewal projects.
