초록

This study aims to examine how the urban regeneration project affected age integration among local residents, targeting Geumgang Station Rail Cafe and Hyomok-dong Complex Neighborhood Hub Center, which are urban regeneration joint facilities located in Dong-gu, Daegu. The variables used in this study were selected as dependent variables (age integration), two independent variables (experience of activities related to urban regeneration and operation period of urban regeneration joint utilization facilities), and seven control variables, which were obtained through a survey targeting users of urban regeneration joint utilization facilities. Analysis methods of this study is factor analysis and multiple regression analysis, which are analyzed using SPSS 29.0. As a result of factor analysis, the characteristics and factor structure of 13 detailed questions in age integration were identified, and they were divided into two factors (‘age flexibility’ and ‘age diversity’). Next, multiple regression analysis was conducted using by the factor score and average score of ‘age flexibility’ and ‘age diversity’ classified in dependent variable values, and main results are followed as below. First, age integration was higher among residents who had experience in community activities related to urban regeneration. Second, it was found that the longer the operation period of urban regeneration joint utilization facilities, the more positive the age integration was. Third, it was found that the more satisfied the perception of local residence was, the more positive the perception of age integration was. This study is significant in that it examined the ripple effect of urban regeneration projects on local community and age integration, not just the physical level.
