이 연구의 목적은 에너지와 숲 관련 협력적 체험활동이 초등학교 5학년 학생들의 인성에 미치는 효과를 분석하는 것이다. 연구 참여자는 초등학교 5학년 52명이었다. 인성검사는 KEDI(2014)에서 개발한 검사 도구를 사용하였고, 연구결과는 대응표본 t-검사와 효과 크기(Cohen’s d)를 분석하였다. 에너지와 숲 관련 협력적 체험활동 프로그램은 초등교육전문가의 검토과정을 거쳐 9주간 18차시로 개발하여 적용하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 이 연구에서 적용한 에너지와 숲 관련 협력적 체험활동은 초등학교 5학년 학생들의 자기존중, 성실, 자기조절, 정직․용기와 관련된 개인적 인성을 향상하는데 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 에너지와 숲 관련 협력적 체험활동은 배려․소통, 책임, 예의, 지혜, 정의, 시민성과 관련된 사회구성원으로서의 인성을 향상하는데 효과가 있었다. 셋째, 이 연구에 참여한 학생, 학부모, 지역강사의 면담 분석 결과, 이 연구에서 개발한 에너지와 숲 관련 협력적 체험활동이 초등학생들의 바른 인성을 기르는데 도움이 된다고 하였다. 마지막으로 이 연구의 결과가 초등학교 현장에서 학교폭력과 따돌림 등과 같은 사회적 문제를 해결하는데 활용되기를 기대한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of energy and forest-related collaborative Experience Activities on the personality of fifth-grade elementary school students. The participants were 52 fifth grade elementary school students. The test tool developed by KEDI(2014) was used for personality test and the results of the study were analyzed by paired t-test and effect size(Cohen’s d). The energy and forest-related collaborative experience program was developed and applied for 18 hours for 9 weeks after reviewing elementary education experts. The results of this study are as well. First, the energy and forest related collaborative experience activities in this study were effective in improving the personal character related to self-respect, sincerity, self-control and honesty․courage of fifth grade elementary school students. Second, the collaborative experience activities related to energy and forest were effective in improving the character as a social composition related to consideration․communication, responsibility, courtesy, wisdom, justice and citizenship. Third, according to the interview analysis by students, parents and local instructors who participated in the study, the energy and forest-related collaborative experience activities developed by the study help to foster the proper character of elementary school students. Finally, we hope that the results of the study will be used to solve social problems such as school violence and bullying in elementary school.
