본 연구는 한국기업의 해외진출 형태(단독과 합작)에 영향을 미치는 요인을 모기업과 산업 수준으로 구분하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 모기업의 해외진출경험이 풍부할수록, 수익성이 낮을수록, 활동성과 생산성이 높을수록 단독투자에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 산업별 요인은 산업 활동성이 높을수록 단독투자에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또, 2000년 이전은 모기업의 자원요인이 단독투자여부에 더 큰 영향을 미치며 모기업의 자원이 풍부할 때 소유권 확대를 더 긍정적으로 한 반면, 2000년 이후는 산업요인이 긍정적이지만 모기업의 수익성이 낮을 때 소유권 확대를 더 긍정적으로 한 것으로 고려된다.
Abstract
This study analyzes the factors affecting the entry-mode of overseas expansion (wholly-owned investment vs. joint venture) of Korean firms at the parent firm and industry level. The results show that the more experienced the parent firm, the lower its profitability, and the higher its activity and productivity, the more positive the impact on wholly-owned investment. In addition, before 2000, the resource factor of the parent firm has a stronger impact on the decision to invest in a ownership and ownership expansion is more positive when the parent firm has rich resources, while after 2000, the industry factor is positive but ownership expansion is more positive when the parent firm is less profitable.
