본 연구의 목적은 잠재적 클라이언트의 프로그램 참여를 위한 동의능력을 평가할 수 있는 선별척도의 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하는 것이다. 연구대상은 한 광역시에 위치한 사회복지기관에서 프로그램에 참여하고자 하는 264명의 잠재적 클라이언트로 의도적 표본추출방법을 통해 2010년 9월부터 2010년 12월까지 면접조사 하였다. 수집된 자료는 무작위로 두 집단으로 분리되었다. 집단 1(N=132)을 활용하여 예비 동의능력선별척도의 신뢰도, 탐색적 요인분석, 개념구성체 타당도 등을 분석하여 수정하였다. 집단 2(N=132)는 앞서 수정된 동의능력선별척도의 신뢰도, 확증적 요인분석, 개념구성체 타당도 등을 분석하여 최종 동의능력선별척도를 제시하였다. 연구결과 동의능력선별척도의 내적 신뢰도 계수가 .871로 높았고, 모델 적합도 지수도 x2(df)= 58.88(19), SRMR= .052, RMSEA = .12, NNFI = .89, CFI= .93, IFI= .93 등으로 양호하게 나타났다. 또한 개념구성체 타당도는 관련변수들과의 상관관계 분석을 통해 확인하였다. 본 동의능력선별척도는 취약집단의 프로그램 참여과정에서 권리를 보호하고, 프로그램의 효과성을 높이는데 활용될 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
The aim of this study was to validate a screen tool for assessing potential clients’ capacity to consent for social work program participation. In the study, a purposive sampling method was used and the sample included 264 potential clients in five social welfare centers in a metropolitan city in South Korea. For cross-validity, a total of 264 participants were randomly divided into two groups: one group for exploratory factor analysis (N=132) and the other group for confirmatory factor analysis (N=132). The first group was used to test internal consistency, exploratory factor analysis, and construct validity of the first version of the screen tool for assessing participants’ capacity to consent to social work program. The second group was used to test internal consistency, confirmatory factor analysis, and construct validity of the final version of the 8-item screen tool. The results showed that the reliability of the screen tool was good(ɑ= .871), and nomological, convergent and discriminant validity were verified by correlation analyses between the screen tool and relevant variables. Accordingly, the confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the acceptability of the model fit(SRMR= .052, RMSEA= .12, NNFI = .89, CFI= .93, IFI= .93). The final scale can be used for frontline social workers to encourage their potential clients to have the capacity to consent to social work program and enhance the effectiveness of programs.
