지적장애 부모를 둔 비장애 청소년의 성장 경험에 관한 사례연구

초록

본 연구는 사례연구방법을 활용하여 그동안 사회적으로 잘 드러나지 않았던 지적장애 부모를 둔 비장애 청소년의 성장 경험을 분석하고 이들의 건강한 성장 및 발달 지원을 위한 사회복지적 함의를 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구참여자는 지적장애 아버지 또는 어머니를 둔 고등학생 이상 청소년 4명으로 모두 여성이 참여하였다. 심층인터뷰를 통해 수집한 자료를 근거로 사례 내 분석과 사례 간 분석을 실시하였고 각 사례의 중요한 의미들을 정리하여 중심개념을 도출한 결과 6개의 상위범주와 12개의 하위범주로 분석되었다. 이를 토대로 ‘가족들의 보호자로 살아가기’, ‘결핍으로서의 장애를 바라보는 사회 속에서 살기’, ‘지적장애에 대한 정보 부재 속에서 대처하기’ 최종 3개의 주제로 분류되었다. 끝으로, 본 연구에서 발견한 점을 기반으로 지적장애 부모를 둔 청소년의 건강한 삶을 위한 실천 및 정책적 함의를 제언하였다.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the growth experience of non-disabled adolescent with intellectual disability parents who have not been socially revealed. The participants in the study were four non-disabled adolescent with intellectually disabled fathers or mothers. In this study, data were analyzed through within-case and cross-case analyses. As a result of cross-case analysis, 6 upper categories and 12 subcategories were generated. And then, it was classified into three themes : ‘Living as a protector of the family’. ‘Dwelling in a society looking at disabilities as a deficiency’, ‘Coping with the lack of information on intellectual disabilities’. Based on these results, this study suggested practical and policy measures for the healthy life of adolescents with parents with intellectual disabilities.
