초등학교 방문치료사에 의한 놀이치료가 ADHD 아동의 자기통제력, 학교적응력 향상 및 놀이행동에 미치는 효과

본 연구는 초등학교 방문치료사에 의한 놀이치료가 ADHD 아동의 자기통제력, 학교적응력 향상 및 놀이행동에 효과가 있는가를 검증하기 위해 실시되었다. 이를 위해 충청남도 천안시에 소재하는 3개 초등학교에서 주의력장애진단시스템(ADS)검사를 실시하였으며, 검사 결과 주의력 결핍․과잉행동장애(ADHD)를 나타내는 아동들을 선별하고, 그 중 프로그램에 참가를 동의한 실험집단 8명과 통제집단 8명의 아동을 대상으로 실시되었다. 프로그램은 실험집단 아동들에게 주 1회, 45분 간 총 12회기의 놀이치료를 실시하였고, 이 모든 과정을 비디오로 녹화하였다. 프로그램의 효과를 알아보기 위해 프로그램 실시 전과 실시 후에 각기 ‘자기통제력 검사’와 ‘학교적응력 검사’를 실시하였고, 녹화된 놀이 장면을 놀이치료관찰 평가도구(PTOI)를 이용해 평가하였다. 얻어진 자료는 SPSS 12.0 프로그램을 통해 비모수적 방법(Wilcoxon's Rank Sum-test)으로 결과를 분석하였다. 또한 놀이장면을 녹화한 내용은 놀이치료관찰 평가도구(PTOI)를 사용해 분석하였으며, 이를 평가한 평정자간 일치도를 구하고, 내적 일치도 Cronbach a 계수와 평가자들이 평가한 평균값을 구해 아동의 회기별 놀이치료 변화를 그래프로 살펴보았다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 결과는 초등학교 방문 놀이치료가 ADHD 아동의 자기통제력 향상에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, ADHD 아동의 학교적응력 향상과 ADHD 아동의 놀이행동을 긍정적으로 변화시키는데 효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to study how play therapy by visiting therapists at an elementary school is effective in improving the self-control ability, the improvement of school adaptation and the play behavior of children with ADHD. The research target was a group of 25 children who showed distracted behavior according to class teachers in three elementary schools, located in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do. These children have had the ADHD Diagnostic System(ADS) tests that distinguish ADHD children. Among those, not ADHD children excepted in objects of study. After selecting ADHD children, and getting the agreement of the schools and parents and ensuring the children were not taking medication and treatment, eight children were selected for a testing group and eight children for a control group. Play therapy was carried out during visits to the schools for 45 minutes each time, at once-a-week from November 2009 to February 2010. All play sessions were recorded by VTR(video tape recorder). The following results were obtained through this research: First, play therapy during the visits to the elementary schools had positive effects on improving the self-control ability of ADHD children. Second, play therapy during the visits to the elementary schools had the effect of improving the adaptation of ADHD children to their school environment. Third, play therapy during the visits to the elementary schools had positive changes on improving the play action of ADHD children.
