수퍼바이지의 다문화 사회정의 상담 수퍼비전 경험에 대한 현상학적 연구

초록

본 연구의 목적은 다문화 사회정의 상담 수퍼비전에서 수퍼바이지가 무엇을 경험하는지 알아보고, 그 경험의 본질적 구조를 탐색하여 상담자 교육 및 수퍼비전 현장에서 다문화 사회정의 수퍼비전 운용에 참고할 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하는 데 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 한국상담학회 또는 한국상담심리학회 2급 이상의 자격증을 소지한 상담자 5명을 대상으로 다문화 사회정의 개인 수퍼비전 참여기회를 제공한 후 심층면담을 진행하였다. 수집된 자료는 Giorgi의 현상학적 연구방법에 따라 분석하였다. 분석결과, 다문화 사회정의 상담 수퍼비전 경험을 반영하는 7개의 주제와 13개의 하위주제 그리고 36개의 의미단위가 도출되었다. 연구결과로 나타난 7개의 주제는 ‘다문화 사회정의 상담 수퍼비전에 참여한 동기’, ‘수퍼비전에서 문화적 차이와 권력이슈에 처음으로 노출됨’, ‘안전한 수퍼비전 관계를 누림’, ‘상담자, 내담자, 상담관계에 대한 다문화적 인식이 생김’, ‘문화 다양성에 대한 태도가 달라짐’, ‘문화적으로 적절한 개입기술을 습득하고 옹호를 실천하고자 함’, ‘수퍼비전에서 학습한 내용을 상담에서 실천한 후 찾아온 변화’ 이었다. 연구결과를 토대로 본 연구의 시사점 및 제한점을 정리하였다. 본 연구는 다문화 사회정의 상담 수퍼비전의 국내 적용가능성을 이해하고 한국 상담자들 위한 다문화 사회정의 상담 수퍼비전에서 고려해야 할 사항들을 수퍼바이지의 목소리를 통해 경험적 자료로 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out what supervisees are experiencing in multicultural social justice counseling supervision, and provide basic materials for multicultural social justice supervision courses in the field of counselor education and supervision by exploring the essential structure of the experiences. To achieve this goal, in-depth interviews were performed on five counselors with certificates of Grade 2 or higher from the Korean Counseling Society or the Korean Counseling Psychology Society after providing opportunities to participate in the individual supervision of multicultural social justice. The collected data were analyzed according to Giorgi's phenomenological research method. As a result of the analysis, seven upper topics, 13 lower topics, and 36 semantic units were derived to reflect the experience of multicultural social justice counseling supervision. The seven topics found were “motivation to participate in supervision”, “exposed to cultural differences and power issues for the first time im supervision”, “enjoying safe supervision relationships”, “cultural awarness of counseling relationships”, “changing in attitudes to cultural diversity”, “to acquire culturally appropriate intervention skills and trying to practice advocacy.” “changes came after practicing multicultural social justice”. Based on the findings, we summarize the implications and limitations of this study. It is meaningful in that it understands the domestic applicability of the multicultural social justice counseling supervision and presents the points to be considered in the multicultural social justice counseling supervision for Korean counselors as empirical data through the voice of the supervisees.
