Abstract
As the number of elderly person in Korea increases, more attention is being given to successful aging. Successful aging is becoming an increasingly popular topic in field of counseling and lifelong education in Korea, yet there is still lacking practical guidelines on how to promote successful aging in older adults. For addressing it, this study developed a counselling․education model for successful aging for older adults. The developed model was consisted of 5 components: perspectives on older adults, successful aging factors, customization processes, outcomes, and a counseling․education process. Four cases of counseling․education programs were evaluated in terms of these components in order to examine usefulness of the developed model. This model will be useful in designing counseling and education programs for older adults and, counselors and educators.
