본 연구의 목적은 남녀 고등학생이 지각하는 모애착과 자살욕구의 관계에서, 우울의 매개효과보다 더 하위요인인 자기비하의 매개효과를 확인하고, 남고생과 여고생 간의 차이를 검증하는데 있다. 이러한 목적을 위해 남자 고등학생 175명과 여자 고등학생 172명을 대상으로, 모애착과 우울, 자살생각에 대한 설문조사를 실시하여 각 변인의 하위 요인 간에 t 검증과 상관분석을 실시하였고, 모애착과 우울의 하위요인이 자살생각에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 마지막으로 모애착과 자살욕구와의 관계에서 우울의 하위요인인 자기비하를 매개변인으로 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 여고생이 남고생보다 우울과 자살생각의 여러 하위요인이 유의미하게 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 자살생각은 우울의 하위요인인 자기비하와 가장 높은 정적상관을 보였고, 모애착이나 우울은 자살생각의 하위요인인 자살욕구와 가장 높은 정적상관을 보였다. 셋째, 남고생의 우울정서와 자기비하는 자살생각에 유의미한 영향력이 나타났고, 여고생은 신뢰감, 우울정서, 자기비하가 자살생각에 유의미한 영향을 주었다. 넷째, 청소년의 모애착과 자살욕구의 관계에서 자기비하의 매개효과를 알아본 결과, 남고생 집단에서 완전매개효과가 나타났으며, 여고생 집단에서는 부분 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이 결과는 남녀고등학생의 모애착이 다른 경로로 자살욕구에 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인하여, 청소년 자살예방을 위한 효율적인 대처방안을 수립하는데 시사점을 줄 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine mediating effects of negative self-esteem on the relationship between mother-attachment perceived by adolescents and suicidal desire among high school students. The survey was made by 347 high school students in Metropolitan Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The Inventory of Parent Attachment(Revised Version: IPPA-R), CDI(Children's Depression Inventory), and SSI(Scale for Suicidal Ideation) were investigated from the result of survey. The results are as follows: First, their mother-attachment has a negative correlation with their depression and suicidal ideation, which shows the same result as previous studies. Second, their negative self-esteem, which is one of the subcategories of depression, has the highest positive correlation with the suicidal desire, which is one of the subcategories of suicidal ideation. Third, boys' negative self-esteem shows a complete mediation effect on the relationship between mother-attachment and the suicidal desire. Girls' negative self-esteem, however, shows a partial mediation effect on the relationship between mother-attachment and suicidal desire. It may be concluded that girls' mother-attachment has a directly negative effect on their suicidal desire, and also it has an indirectly negative effect on their suicidal desire through a partial mediating variable of their negative self-esteem. In conclusion, it may be effective to reduce their negative self-esteem that is for prevention suicidal desire of high school students.
