본 연구는 중학생의 학업스트레스가 자살생각에 영향을 주는 과정에서 보호요인인 부모애착과 위험요인인 우울이 매개효과를 보이는지를 통합적으로 규명하는 것이다. 이를 위해 중학생 499명의 학업스트레스, 부모애착, 우울, 자살생각을 측정하였고, SPSS 18.0과 AMOS 20.0을 사용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학업스트레스가 자살생각에 직접적인 영향을 주지는 않았으나, 우울을 완전 매개로 자살생각에 영향을 주었다. 둘째, 학업스트레스가 자살생각에 영향을 주는 과정에서 부모애착은 우울에 부분 매개하여 영향을 주고 부모애착은 우울을 부분 매개하여 자살생각에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 나타난 결과는 중학생의 학업스트레스, 부모애착, 우울 및 자살생각 간의 구조적 관계를 밝혔다는데 의의가 있으며, 자살생각을 예방하기 위해서 학업스트레스, 우울을 줄이고 부모애착을 증진시키기 위한 방안을 논의하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate comprehensively the mediating effect of Parent Attachment as protective factor, and Depression as risk factor, on the path from Middle School Students’ Academic Stress to Suicidal Ideation. To achieve this, a total of 499 middle school students responded to survey packet including measures of Academic Stress, Suicidal Ideation, Parent Attachment, Depression scales. The data was analyzed using SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 20.0. The results were as follows: First, Academic Stress has no effect on Suicidal Ideation directly, and has effect on Depression through Parent Attachment indirectly. Second, Academic Stress has effect on depression directly, and has effect on depression through parent attachment indirectly. And parent attachment has effect on suicidal ideation directly, and has effect on suicidal ideation through depression indirectly. These findings will provide a basic framework for the structural understanding of middle school students’ Academic Stress, Parent Attachment, Depression and Suicidal Ideation, and propose strategic interventions that prevent Middle School Students’ Academic Stress, depression and suicidal ideation, and promote parental attachment to prevent suicidal ideation.
