진로 개입 성과 연구의 동향과 향후 과제

A Review of Research Trends on Career Intervention Outcome Studies

초록

본 연구의 목적은 증거-기반 실제(EBP)의 과학적 연구 논리에 기초하여 국내의 진로 개입에 대한 성과 연구의 동향을 살펴봄으로써 향후 진로 개입의 실제와 연구의 통합을 위한 성과 연구의 방향을 제안하는 데 있다. 이를 위해서 본 연구는 2000년도에서 2012년도에 출판된 진로 개입 성과 논문 중 KCI 등재 이상의 학술지에 게재된 논문 106편을 대상으로 연구대상, 연구설계, 진로개입양식, 진로개입의 성과변인, 성과 측정 도구에 따라 연구 동향을 분석하였다. 연구 결과를 살펴보면, 첫째 대상에서는 대학생이(31.2%), 연구설계에서는 준실험설계(84%), 표본추출방법은 임의배정(52.8%), 성과측정은 사전-사후 측정(94.3%), 측정의 평가자는 자기보고(98.1%)가 (각각) 가장 높게 나타났다. follow-up 평가는 5.7%이었으며, 이러한 측정의 평가자는 내담자의 자기보고가 98.1%로 가장 많았고, 상담자(상담교사)와 관찰자에 의한 측정은 1.9%로 나타났다. 둘째, 진로개입 양식에 따른 성과 연구의 동향을 살펴본 결과, 집단상담 양식이 가장 많았으며(80.2%), 그 다음은 진로 교과목(17.0%), 진로 워크샵(1.9%) 순서로 나타났으나, 개인상담 양식은 전혀 없었으며 심리 검사 양식은 극히 적은 것으로 나타났다(0.9%). 셋째, 진로개입의 성과 측정 내용은 Whiston(2001)이 제안한 네 가지 영역을 기준으로 분석한 결과, 진로관련 정서 영역이 가장 많이 연구되어졌고, 진로 개입 성과 변인으로는 진로성숙도가 가장 많이 연구된 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 이러한 진로 개입 성과를 측정한 도구의 현황을 살펴본 결과 Crites(1978)의 진로성숙도검사가 가장 많이 사용되어졌다. 끝으로 본 연구의 결과에 기초하여 진로 개입 성과의 연구 방향에 대한 논의 및 제언을 하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to suggest future research directions toward integration of career intervention research and practice through an overview of the career intervention outcome studies on the basis of the Evidence-based practice model in Korea. We analyzed 106 journal articles regarding career intervention outcome designated in the KCI (Korea Citation Index) between 2000 and 2012. We used frequency analysis to examine outcome research trends across participant, research design, career intervention types, career intervention outcome variables, and outcome measurement in career interventions. First, research showed that college student(31.2%) in research participant, quasi-experimental design between experimental and control groups(84%) in research design, convenient assignment(52.8%) in sampling method, pre-post measurement(94.3%) and follow-up assessment (5.7%) in outcome measurement, and self-reported measurement(98.1%) in measurement sources were respectively the most frequent. Counselor and observer measurement sources were 1.9%. Second, the frequency result of career intervention type indicated that group counseling was 80.2%, career curriculum was 17.0%, and career workshop was 1.9%. It is worthy of notice that there was no individual career counseling type and very little frequency in career inventory type(0.9%). Third, career related emotional domain was the most frequent in terms of outcome content of career intervention based on Whiston(2001)'s categorization of career intervention outcome contents. The most frequent outcome variable of career intervention was career maturity. Forth, CMI(Crites, 1978) was used the most in measurement tools of outcomes. Discussion also focuses on future directions and implications for career intervention outcome research to acquire specialty of career intervention based on the EBP model.
