은퇴부부의 부부관계 만족도, 심리적 건강, 은퇴적응에 대한 영향요인 탐색: 단기 종단연구

본 연구는 은퇴부부의 부부관계 만족도와 심리적 건강 및 부부의 은퇴상황과 부부의 상호의존성이 은퇴적응에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 규명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 국민노후보장패널의 2-3차년 자료를 사용하여 1190쌍의 부부를 대상으로 종단적 연구설계인 시차내생변수를 포함하는 모델 중 시차효과모델에 기초하여 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 은퇴부부의 부부관계 만족도, 심리적 건강, 은퇴적응에 부부 모두 통제변인의 설명력이 높게 나타났고, 통제변인 다음으로 은퇴관련 변인보다 자원변인의 설명력이 더 크게 나타났다. 둘째, 부부 모두의 은퇴적응에 자원변인 중 여가활동 만족도가 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 남편의 경우 자녀관계 만족도가 부부관계 만족도, 심리적 건강, 은퇴적응에 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 은퇴부부는 부부관계 만족도와 심리적 건강에서 부부간 서로 상호영향을 미쳤으나, 은퇴적응에서는 남편만이 부인의 은퇴적응에 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 은퇴적응에 가장 큰 영향을 미친 변인은 남편의 경우 여가활동 만족도, 주관적 경제수준, 부인의 은퇴적응, 자녀관계 만족도 순으로 나타났고, 부인의 경우 주관적 경제수준, 여가활동 만족도, 자녀관계 만족도, 심리적 건강 순으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 은퇴부부의 은퇴적응에 영향을 미치는 요인이 서로 다르게 나타남으로써, 부부의 특성에 따라 적합한 프로그램이 제공될 필요가 있음을 시사한다.
Abstract
This study attempts to examined the effects of marital relationship, psychological health, couple’s retirement context, and couple’s interdependency on the change of couples’ retirement adjustment with short-term longitudinal data. For this purpose, data were drawn from 2 waves(2nd wave, 3rd wave) of Korean Retirement and Income Study (KReIS). The analytic sample included 1190 older couples who experienced the transition into retirement of one of the partners, hierarchical multiple regression models(models with lagged endogenous variables-lagged effect model) are used to explain adjustment to retirement by both partners. The results of this study were as follows: Frist, marital relationship, psychological health, and retirement adjustment of couples’ were influenced by soci-demographic variables(subjective economic status, health status) as well as resources variables. Second, couples’ retirement adjustment, marital relationship, and psychological states were influenced by leisure satisfaction and marital relationship and psychological health were influenced by adult-child relationship satisfaction for husbands. Third, the extent to which partners influence each other in the marital relationship and psychological states, but process of adjusting to retirement appears to be limited. Specifically, the most powerful variables affecting husbands’ retirement adjustment were leisure satisfaction, subjective economic status, wives’ retirement adjustment and, adult-child relationship satisfaction. But the most powerful variables affecting wives’ retirement adjustment were subjective economic status, leisure satisfaction, adult-child relationship satisfaction, and their own psychological health. Based on the study finding, implications for practice to improve couples’ retirement adjustment with time were discussed.
