군대에서 생활하는 병사들의 군 생활 적응 수준은 병사 개인의 행복뿐만 아니라 군의 전투력 극대화 측면에서 중요하다. 본 연구는 군 생활 적응 수준을 측정할 수 있는 군 생활 적응 척도를 개발하고 타당화 하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 1차 예비연구에서는 선행연구를 고찰하고, 군 복무중인 병사 80명을 대상으로 개방형 설문을 실시한 후 100문항의 예비문항을 제작하였다. 2차 예비연구에서는 육․해․공군 병사 953명을 대상으로 예비척도 45문항을 추출하였다. 3차 본 연구에서는 육․해․공군 병사 791명에게 설문을 실시하여 요인 분석한 결과, 6개 하위요인의 32문항을 최종적으로 추출하였다. 각 하위요인은 군 생활 가치(7문항), 애인관계(5문항), 심신건강(7문항), 업무능력(5문항), 선임관계(4문항), 동료관계(4문항)로 구성되었다. 확인적 요인분석을 통한 적합도 검증 결과, 6개 하위요인이 양호한 모형으로 확인되었다. 군 생활 적응 척도 전체에 대한 신뢰도 계수는 .94, 6개 하위요인들은 .77에서 .89사이로 나타났다. 공인타당도를 알아보기 위한 본 척도와 군 생활 스트레스 척도, 사회적 지지 척도, 자아탄력성 척도 간의 상관분석 결과, 타당도가 양호한 것으로 검증되었다. 4차 추수연구는 본 설문 실시 4주 후에 166명에게 설문을 실시하여 분석한 결과, 검사-재검사 신뢰도는 .86으로 나타나 척도의 안정성을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구에서 개발한 척도의 의의와 시사점 및 제한점에 대하여 논의하였다.
Abstract
The adjustment level of military soldiers to their military life is important in terms of maximization of fighting efficiency as well as individual soldier's happiness. The purpose of this study is to develop and validate a military life adjustment scale to measure the adjustment level to military life for military soldiers. For this purpose, the phase 1 pilot study reviewed literatures and administered an open questionnaire with 80 military solider to drive out 100 pilot items. In the phase 2 pilot study, 45 pilot items were drawn with 953 army, navy and air force soldiers. In the phase 2 pilot study, a questionnaire was administered with 791 army, navy and air force soldiers for factor analysis, which led to final 32 items with 6 sub-factors. The sub-factors include military life value (7 items), romantic relationship (5 items), mental & physical health (7 items), job competence (5 items), relationship with seniors (4 items) and relationship with colleagues (4 items). The goodness-of-fit test through confirmative factor analysis showed that the 6 sub-factor model has sufficient goodness of fit. The reliability coefficient of the military life adjustment scale was .94, whereas it ranges from .77 to .89 for the 6 sub-factors. The correlation analysis among the present scale, military life stress scale, social support scale and self-resilience scale for concurrent validity showed that the concurrent validity is high. The phase 4 follow-up study administered the same questionnaire with 166 soldiers following administration of the questionnaire in the present study. The results showed that the test-retest reliability is .86, which confirmed the stability of the present scale. Finally, the implications and limitations of the present scale developed in the present study are discussed.
