Abstract
The purpose of the present study was to analyze researches on group supervision. Twenty seven articles published during two decades have been categorized according to research subjects, participant, methods, level of specification, components and features of group supervision. The results of the present study were as follows. First, 8 studies among all were placed into research on group counseling process, and researches on the group supervision outcome were 6 studies. Second, qualitative research method was the most widely used in that 13 qualitative researches have been studied. Third, supervisee appeared most frequently in researches as a participants. Fourth, three level researches are the most(63.0%) in the aspect of specification level. Fifth, study on character and capacity of supervisee is the most frequently appeared(24.3%). Implications and suggestions for future study were discussed. Firstly, researches on group supervision were insufficient compared to the importance and the application level. Therefore, the number of research must be increased, and research subjects, research objects, participants, methods, and specification level of research must become more varied. Secondly, test for measuring outcome of group supervision must be developed. Thirdly, research on developing program for training counselor based on the appropriate measurement was required. Limitations of this study are that the role and relative importance of outcome and process factor were not examined concretely. Therefore, in the future study, outcome and process factor of group supervision must be revealed based on more empirical research.
