Abstract

This study examined that supervision working alliance plays a mediational role between supervisee attachment strategy(avoidance, rejection) and supervision satisfaction based on the framework for conceptualizing supervision variables presented by Ladany and Bradley(2013). For the purpose of the study, the data collected from 228 counselors who have received supervision at least three times over the last 2 years from more than one supervisor. The collected data were analyzed to test the appropriateness of the model and impacts of the variables through the structural equation model. The results of this study are as follows: First, the supervisee avoidance attachment strategy not only directly affected to the supervision satisfaction but also indirectly affected by the supervision working alliance. Second, the supervisee rejection attachment strategies completely mediated supervision working alliance and had an indirect impact on supervision satisfaction. Finally, implications and limitations were discussed based on the results of this study.
