부정적 정서가 자살사고 및 습득된 자살 실행력에 미치는 영향: 혼합회귀모형 분석

초록

본 연구의 목적은 잠재계층에 따라 우울, 분노, 수치심과 같은 부정적 정서가 자살사고 및 습득된 자살 실행력에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지, 그리고 속박감, 회복탄력성, 삶의 의미가 그러한 잠재계층에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보는데 있다. 이를 위해 서울과 영남 지역 대학생 329명의 설문 응답 자료를 혼합회귀모형을 통해 분석하였다. 자료분석 결과에 따르면, 부정적 정서가 자살사고 및 습득된 자살실행력에 미치는 영향과 관련하여 총 3개의 잠재계층이 도출되었으며, 각 잠재계층의 특성은 다음과 같다. 먼저 잠재계층 1의 경우, 수치심이 자살사고 및 습득된 자살실행력에 미치는 영향은 유의하였으나 우울과 분노가 자살사고 및 습득된 자살실행력에 미치는 영향은 유의하지 않았다. 잠재계층 2에서는 모든 부정적 정서(우울, 분노, 수치심)가 자살사고 및 습득된 자살실행력에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 마지막으로 잠재계층 3에서는 수치심과 분노는 자살사고와 습득된 자살실행력에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았으나, 우울은 자살사고와 습득된 자살 실행력에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이어서 속박감, 회복탄력성, 삶의 의미가 이러한 잠재계층에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 분석하였다. 분석결과는 회복탄력성이 높을수록 잠재계층 1에 비해 잠재계층 2와 잠재계층 3에 속할 확률이 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 속박감이 높을수록 잠재계층 1과 잠재계층 2에 비해 잠재계층 3에 속할 가능성이 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 삶의 의미는 예상과 달리 잠재계층 분류에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 연구의 시사점과 제한점에 대해 논하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore how the negative emotions such as depression, anger, and shame effect the suicidal ideation and acquired capability for suicide according to latent class, and how the entrapment, resilience, and meaning in life affect those latent classes. For this purpose, the responses of 329 university students in Seoul and Youngnam province were analyzed using a mixed regression model. According to the data analysis results, a total of three latent classes were derived with regard to the effects of negative affects on suicidal ideation and acquired capability for suicide, and the characteristics of each latent class were as follows. For latent class 1, the effect of shame on suicidal ideation and acquired capability for suicide was significant, but the effects of depression and anger on suicidal ideation and acquired capability for suicide were not. In latent class 2, all negative emotions (depression, anger, and shame) did not have a significant influence on suicidal ideation and acquired capability for suicide. Finally, shame and anger did not significantly affect suicidal ideation and acquired capability for suicide in latent class 3, but depression was resulted as having a significant effect on suicidal ideation and acquired capability for suicide. Then we analyzed how the entrapment, resilience, and the meaning in life affect these latent class. The analysis showed that the higher resiliency was, the higher probability was significantly of belonging to latent class 2 and latent class 3 compared to latent class 1, and the higher entrapment was, the higher possibility was significantly of being in latent class 3 compared to latent class 1 and latent class 2. However, the meaning in life did not have a significant effect on the classification of latent classes. Based on the results, the implications and limitations of the study were discussed.
