Abstract
This study seeks to analyze the relationship among perceived required level of employment competency, academic variables(grades, major) and expected employment level variables(expected wage, expected job type) of undergraduate students. Especially, assuming that these relationships are different according to the school background, this study does multi-group analysis to identify the differences of estimated parameters between junior college students and university students. The findings of the study are as follows. Firstly, there are significant differences of perceived required level of employment competency between junior college students and university students. Secondly, some academic and expected employment level variables have effects on `employment competency-skills', `employment competency-attitude' and `employment competency-adaptation' of junior college students. Also these variables have effects on `employment competency-knowledge', `employment competency-skills', `employment competency-attitude' and `employment competency-adaptation' of university students, and these effects are relatively higher than that of junior college students. Thirdly, in terms of school background, there are notables differences of relationships among variables. Especially, grades and expected wage have opposite effects on perceived required level of employment competency between junior college students and university students.
