이 논문은 생명성에 대한 해명을 통해 현대철학의 중요한 과제의 일부분을 논의해 보고자 한다. 근대 세계 체제를 틀지운 근대성의 철학은 유효성을 다했지만, 변화된 현대세계를 해명할 철학적 체계는 아직도 명확히 드러나 있지 않다. 이 철학적 체계를 이 논문은 생명철학의 원리를 해명함으로써 그 단초를 찾으려 시도한다. 이를 위해 이 논문은 철학의 현재성을 바탕으로 제2장에서 현대 세계의 철학적 상황에 대해 생명철학이 지향하는 바를 제시한다. 생명철학은 근대성 극복과 함께 본질주의적이며 실체론적 유럽 형이상학을 극복할 생성의 철학을 지향한다. 이어 3장에서는 생명철학에 담긴 생성의 철학적 원리를 밝힌다. 여기에는 하이데거의 ‘피시스’(physis) 해명과 함께 현대 생명과학의 자기생성적 특성 해명이 중요한 내용이 된다. 이를 바탕으로 제4장에서는 도가철학에 담긴 생성과 생명철학적 내용을 해명한다. 이 장은 3장의 논의와 상응하는 관점에서 도가철학의 특성을 설명한다. 5장 역시 같은 맥락에서 동아시아 원시 사유에 담긴 생명철학적 특성을 논의한다. 이를 바탕으로 결론부분에서는 도가철학과 생명철학의 생성론적 특성이 어떻게 생산성의 형이상학에 함몰된 현대사회의 위기를 극복할 철학으로 자리매김될 수 있을지 살펴본다.
Abstract
This paper attempts to discuss some of the important tasks of contemporary philosophy through its explanation of life-ness. The philosophy of modernity that framed the modern world system has exhausted its validity, but the philosophical system of understanding the changed present world is still not clearly revealed. This philosophical system tries to find its singularity through explaining the principle of life-philosophy. For this reason, the paper, based on the present state of philosophy, shows the aims of life-philosophy in the philosophical situation of the contemporary world in Chapter 2. The life-philosophy aims at the philosophy of becoming that will overcome the modernity as well as the fundamentalist and substantialist european metaphysics. The third chapter will then reveal the philosophical principles of becoming contained in the life-philosophy. In this regard, it is important to understand of Heidegger’s term of ‘physis’ as well as the ‘auto-poiesis’ characteristics of present bio-sciences. Based on this, Chapter 4 explains the becoming and life-philosophy content contained in Taoist philosophy. This chapter describes the characteristics of the Taoist philosophy from a corresponding point of view with the discussion in Chapter 3. This chapter describes the features of Taoist philosophy from Chapter 5 also explains the life-philosophy characteristics contained in the primitive thoughts of East Asia in the same context. The conclusion section looks at how he becoming’s characteristics of the Taoist philosophy and the life-philosophy can be established as a philosophy to overcome the crisis of present society that has been embedded in the ‘productionist metaphysics’.
