본 논문은 현대의 시대적 문제로서의 허무주의와 그것의 극복에 대한 하이데거의 논의를 다룬다. 이를 위해 여기서는 먼저 하이데거의 니체해석을 살펴보며, 그 안에서 무의 경험을 존재 자체에 대한 새로운 현상으로 전환시킨다는 점, 그리고 이러한 전환이 허무주의 극복의 단초라는 점을 밝혀낸다. 먼저 우리는 허무주의와의 대결을 위해 하이데거가 수행한 니체 해석을 다루었고, 그것은 각각 니체가 말한 중요개념으로서 허무주의 자체를 제외한 다섯 가지 개념, 즉 ‘신의 죽음’, ‘가치의 전도(가치의 무가치화)’, ‘힘에의 의지’, ‘위버멘쉬’, 그리고 ‘동일한 것의 영원회귀’이었다. 그 이후 우리는 이러한 니체 해석에서 드러난 허무주의의 극복이 실패하였으며, 이 실패를 극복하기 위해 하이데거가 허무주의를 존재역운의 마지막 단계이자 존재가 스스로를 떠나보낸 존재망각의 현상으로 보고 있음을 살펴보았다. 이 존재의 스스로 떠남으로 규정된 허무주의 안에서 발견된 무는 존재 자체와 공속하는 것으로 드러남으로써 새롭게 허무주의를 극복할 수 있는 가능성이 제시되었다. 마지막으로 이러한 극복이란 모든 왜곡된 존재 이해가 깨어 부수어진 그 자리에서 마음대로 존재를 규정하거나 다른 존재자들을 나의 이익에 따라 이용하고 지배해왔던 존재의 모습을 버림을 의미한다.
Abstract
This paper deals the discussion of nihilism as a contemporary problem and Heidegger’s discussion of overcoming nihilism. To this end, I first present Nietzsche-interpretation that Heidegger attempts to find the ground (Grund) of nihilism, and after that, I show secondly the Being-thought (Seinsdenken) of Heidegger that overcomes nihilism by transforming the experience of Nothingness into a new phenomenon of Being itself. First, this paper discusses Nietzsche-interpretation that confronts nihilism, which consists of five concepts other than word nihilism : ‘death of God’, ‘valuelessness’, ‘will to power’, ‘Übermensch’, ‘eternal recurrence of the same.’ After that, it can be seen that Heidegger’s attempt at overcoming nihilism, which was revealed by Nietzsche-interpretation, has failed and that, to overcome the failure, Heidegger sees nihilism as the final stage of the revulsion toward the Being and the phenomenon of oblivion to the Being — that the Being has left itself. A new possibility of overcoming nihilism was presented by a fact that is disclosed within nihilism, defined as ‘Togetherness (Zusammengehörigkeit)’ between the Being itself and Nothingness. Finally, this overcoming implies the abandoning of the understanding of the Being, ie the distorted concept of the Being, that I am able to use and govern other beings according to my egoistic or egocentric interests.
