이 연구는 과타리(Félix Guattari)의 생성철학에서 주요한 개념인 리토르넬로(ritournelle)를 구체적인 예술작품, 프루스트(Marcel Proust)의 소설 잃어버린 시간을 찾아서의 ‘하나의 리토르넬로에 대한 아홉 가지 배치’를 통해 이해하는 것이다. 과타리에게 리토르넬로는 ‘시간화의 기층적 리듬’이자 현실의 실존적 일관성의 관점에서 ‘미시-정치적 성과들’을 확증하는 기제이다. 따라서 이 연구는 과타리와 프루스트의 잃어버린 시간을 찾아서의 뱅퇴이유 소악절에 대한 리토르넬로의 다양한 변주들이 자본주의 리토르넬로에 대한 비판적인 미시-정치적 성과를 밝히는 과정과 다른 것이 아님을 보이고자 한다.
Abstract
This study aims to understand the ritornello, a key concept in Félix Guattari's philosophy of generation, through a concrete artwork, namely Marcel Proust's “nine arrangements of one ritornello” in In Search of Lost Time. For Guattari, the ritornello is the “substratum rhythm of temporalization” and a mechanism that affirms “micro-political achievements” in terms of the existential consistency of reality. This study therefore aims to illustrate that the variations of the ritornello in Guattari and Proust's rendition of Vinteuil's small verses in In Search of Lost Time are not different from the process of uncovering the critical micro-political achievements of capitalism's ritornello.
