Abstract
【Abstract】 A Study on regulations of Market Concentration Lee, Dong-Won This paper is focusing the regulations of market concentration, especially the Telecommunications Act of 1996, through the study of statutes, C.F.R. and the decisions of the FCC and the court. The purpose of the Act is to stimulate the competition of LECs and common carriers. It is composed of several parts; the general duty of telecommunications carriers, obligations of all local exchange carriers containing resale, number portability, dialing parity, access to rights-of-way, and reciprocal compensation, and additional obligations of incumbent local exchange carriers containing the duty to negotiate, interconnection, unbundled access, the duty of resale, notice of changes, and collocation etc. This statute represents the desirable way of the revision of the act of our telecommunications act, so the analysis of the model law shows the changes of directions of the amendment of the law.
