【Abstract】 Insurable Interest In The System of Life Insurance Kim, Sung-Mun The explosive growth of the situation of moral hazard was changing the concept of necessity of the insurance system. The influence of the situation has induced the following criminal behaviors. Therefore, this study focused on the concept of the insurable interest which was used in some countries like U.S.A and the United Kingdoms etc.. to prevent criminal intents in the system of life insurance. The concept has not been yet adopted by the republic of Korea. But the changing situations like the increase of criminal behaviors would need some measures like that. In that circumstances, there were some people who took up the position that we need that concept to prevent criminal intents in that system. In the light of Australia and New Zealand, they have changed the concept of the insurable interests in the system of life insurance recently. Despite resigning the concept, they actually have maintained the scope of insurable interest. Therefore this study focused on the necessity to adopt the concept of the insurable interest in the system of life insurance in the Republic of Korea. Through referring to situations of other countries, this study showed the adoption of the concept of that broadly would be useful to handle many problems in the life insurance system.
