19세기 말과 20세기 초에 베트남은 프랑스의 식민지가 되었고, 한반도는 일본의 식민지가 되었다. 식민지 지배와 제국주의 체제의 지배 아래 사는 것에 체념하지 않고, 두 나라에서는 민족독립운동이 강력하게 일어났다. 각국의 민족운동은 군사작전 형태와 투쟁방식에 대한 나름대로의 특성을 지니고 있지만, 모두 베트남 국민과 한국 국민의 독립과 자유를 위해 투쟁한다는 공통의 목표에서 비롯되었다고 볼 수 있다. 나라마다 운동의 규모와 범위가 다르지만, 이 시기의 양국의 민족운동은 각국이 새로운 투쟁기에 들어가는 것을 전제로 한 중요한 성과와 역사적 교훈을 남겼다.
Abstract
In the last decade of the nineteenth century and early twentieth century, Vietnam became a a French colony, the Korean peninsula became a Japanese colony. Not resigned to living under the domination of colonial and imperial regimes, the national independence movement broke out strongly in the two countries. It can be seen that the national movement in each country has its own characteristics of the campaigning forms and methods of struggle, but they all stem from the common goal of struggling for independence and freedom for the Vietnamese people and the Korean people. Although the scale and extent of the movement varies from country to country, the national movement in the two countries during this period has left important achievements and historical lessons as a premise for each country to enter a new struggle period.
